To Patients and Friends of Chris Bird Dental Practice,

COVID-19 UPDATE (03/06/20)

Some of you may have seen during the Government briefing on 28th May the announcement that dental practices can re-open from the 8th June. We are incredibly pleased and excited to have been given the green light to start seeing our patients again after a long 10-week restriction to our services.

We have been working extremely hard behind the scenes to ensure that we are able to follow the latest guidance and we will only be reopening when we are satisfied that we have all the necessary processes, procedures and personal protective equipment in place to ensure your safety.

However, we must stress that it will not be business as usual straight away. There will be many changes in the way we need to work, and it may still be a little while before we can recommence routine dentistry.

We ask that you do not call the practice yet to try and make an appointment, though we are still available for advice and in case of emergencies.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank you all for your patience and bearing with us while we work through all we have to do to ensure the safety of staff and visitors to the practice.

Oral cancer screening.

As part of every check-up your dentist is required to carry out a visual examination and check for the early signs of mouth cancer. Please do talk about the examination with your dentist – they will be more than happy to talk through exactly what they are doing, where they are looking, and what they are searching for. If you are concerned about anything unusual in your mouth make an appointment as soon as possible. Book a consultation
