Dr Chris Bird BDS is the Principal/Director of
Chris Bird Dental Care

Chris qualified in 1979 at Liverpool University. He opened his own practice in Cannock in 1983. In the years to follow he has undergone further postgraduate training in many fields of dentistry including Advanced Restorative Dentistry, Implant Placement and Facial Aesthetics.

Dr Chris Bell BDS is an Associate Dentist

Chris qualified at Birmingham University in 1964 and ran his own practice in Walsall for over thirty years before joining our practice. He has a wealth of experience and expertise in most aspects of general dentistry.

Amit Sunder BDS MFGDP(UK) is an Associate Dentist

Amit qualified from Birmingham University in 2002. He is committed to postgraduate training, having gained membership to the Faculty of General Dental Practitioners. Amit maintains a keen interest in restorative and cosmetic aspects of dentistry.

Dawn Everitt is our Dental Therapist

Dawn has completed a three year, full-time degree course at Birmingham Dental Hospital. The specialist nature of her dental training means that she is very well placed to provide preventive care and advice, including scaling and polishing.

Dawn is an excellent communicator and a very approachable and supportive member of our team. Her role is similar to that of a Dental Hygienist but she is also qualified to place fillings and carry out other routine aspects of the dentist’s work.

Julie Bird is Co-director and qualified Business Manager of the practice

She obtained her dental nursing qualification in 1987. Together with Chris she is responsible for the design, planning, implementation and appraisal of most of the business developments. Julie works closely with the Practice Manager in the day-to-day running of the business, staff training and development.

Sarah Cullum is our Practice Manager

She obtained her dental nursing qualification in 1992 and more recently achieved several distinctions in her Professional Diploma in Practice Management. Sarah now manages the daily activities of the practice and is responsible for quality control, staff training and team building. She also plays a major role in treatment coordination, which involves working together with the dentist to advise and assist patients in choosing and understanding the best treatment plan for their individual needs.
